ahh the messy messy situation of sexuality, friendships between men and women, good intentions and the dating fairy…..
Your entry with it snappy paragraphs gave the reader enough to muse over, but not so much that they might be bored or distracted by a side story. Once again you keep your dialogue honest and down to earth to match your characterization.

James as always a pleasure. I enjoy your old worldly charm and wit coupled with terminology and phrasings. You achieved what you set out – this was a calm piece – set amongst the waves and stillness of the dry hot air, nothing stirring except the characters bantering between them. You always include such delightful mini stories, details which are not lost but build a bigger, wholeistic picture of the world they live in. thank you

Wow, what a warm and cheerful piece, combining laughter and tears in one delightful package. I really can feel their closeness and friendship. I love the stuff about the ice cube and shakespeare’s thought about Reyes when she is asleep.

Again, funny stuff. I like your dry wit. I particularly enjoyed how Reyes spoke about how she might “swoon” etc. I think I’ve had conversations like this before with some females I know. Haha.

And the “You bastard” bit made me laugh. Good writing.

It gave me a good laugh – poor girl! I am so delighted that these characters continue to harangue you, dragging new friends in to introduce to your readers ( like stray cats)
Once again , your dialogue comes across naturally, rolling and lilting with the pitch of the prose. Your attention to detail gives life to your characters and breathing real personality into their world.
